I’m a 30 year employee of the US Postal Service, helping to deliver mail and packages to people all over the country. I’m a lover of books, nature, science fiction and travel.
I’ve been reading Maxwell King’s biography of Fred Rogers “The Good Neighbor”. I used to watch Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood as a child, and reading this has given me so much more appreciation for the man that Fred was. #books #BookSky #FredRogers

My wife and her sister have managed over the past couple weeks to turn me into a coffee drinker. It’s amazing what I’ve been missing all this time. #coffee

iOS 26 is out today in beta. This is probably their biggest update yet - almost 17 GB total. It’s a good thing we have a fiber connection at home or this might take all night. #iPhone #iOS

Took part in my first career conference with the USPS today, and came away feeling really great. I learned a lot about different departments within the Postal Service, and I’ve also discovered some new avenues that I can explore for my own career.

Reading about the recent passing of author Peter David gave me pause. I’ve read a lot of his work over the years - especially the “Professor Hulk” comic run and his various Star Trek novels (the New Frontier series has long been one of my favorites).

Now that DeJoy is stepping down as Postmaster General, I'm dreading the idea of Trump selecting his replacement - assuming he doesn't follow through on his proposal to fire the Board of Governors and fold the USPS into the Commerce Department.

I’ve been waiting for weeks for this book to become available on Libby. It’s a pre World War 2 novel featuring a young woman who goes to work in a local bookshop to support herself and her daughter. I’m already four chapters in and loving it. #BookSky

A friend of mine on Facebook has accused me of “bullying” Musk because I made a statement about his “Nazi salute” moment during the inauguration. Unreal.

This is the first time I’ve ever had a company ask for a selfie plus a copy of a state ID in order to verify someone’s identity. Talk about overkill.
