Librarian, geek, gamer, wood worker and punch MARC in the face - a lot. Very liberal and old enough to know better but don't. Opinions are mine and not my employer’s or those of anyone with good taste.
I’m the photo taker so I get to hide.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I attended a library vendor AI demo/upsell today and I wish I could explain to them that everything they are selling could be achieved by hiring like two more people in our library

The Executive Office taking over the IMLS is an audacious (not to mention lawless) move to exert control over the nation's libraries.

You want grant funding? Sure - just make sure that there are no books by or about LGBTQ+, immigrant, native or brown people on your shelves. We will provide a list

Been meaning to learn Python for ... a long time so might as well start with this little file cleaning task. Yes, I'm a digital hoarde... er, archivist.

I’ve been pretty numb since the election but seeing the wave of book bans - I’m starting to get angry again.

I have spent a lot of time over the last two weeks thinking about what the election meant. I'm not happy with what I've concluded.

Marvel Comics has decided to do a gimmick whereby they put a QR code on the last page of comics and to see the actual page you have to use it. What rampant stupidity. Somewhere comics archivists are deciding how to deal with this and mutter "FFS" over and over and over. #libraries
