Laravel is great for any type of (web) application! So definitely give it a try if you haven't already!

If you prefer building the website with a Javascript framework, you can also use Laravel for the API. It has great packages that offer API authentication. Give it a try!

You can do this using the middleware pattern. You have your business logic and you can wrap this with extra functionality, like logging and tracing. By wrapping it, you're never actually changing your business logic, you're simply adding layers with extra features.
