The main acts were the same, but there was some variety.

I have the DVD set with the original music. The show still holds up.

“As God as my witness” grates on me. I love that show, and that misquote gets under my skin.

Nothing ever beat making our own fun.

Twas a near thing a couple times. You don’t even know about the snowmobile incidents or the sledgehammer mishap.

We also stole a round aluminum Coca-Cola sign from a convenience store and used that for an afternoon sliding down hills. Capacity was probably 3-4 kids, so we loaded up and had a blast.

Looking back, parts of that sort are problematic. 😁

Not just Dad. Mom had 2 brothers and Dad had 9. I also had a cousin 9 years older who was trying to kill me. At least you’d think so based on the situations he put me in.

When I was 13 he built a house. Guess who was in the rafters guiding roof trusses into place since they were afraid of heights?

My first stitches, age 6, were put into the crown of my head thanks to tobaggining head first(!) down a steep hill. I was unsupervised, of course. Walked back to mom’s house with blood streaming down my face.

That freaked mom out, but the time I cut my eyelid open really sent her over the edge!

Let’s not underestimate the bravery of chasing a 6 year old upstairs knowing both what’s about to happen and that you are in the blast zone.
