Is there any chance Coco gets a call from trump after her huge win at Roland Garros? She beat his favorite, the white Russian with huge tracks of land and enhanced lips, I’m thinking he’ll sit this one out.

If Trump can claim a "national emergency" to disappear legal residents without due process, what’s to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him?

No one is safe — not even people legally in the country, possibly not even American citizens.

Fascism is here.

Sure would love to have seen a few interviews from the 5 million+ multi-partisan protesters yesterday. Most TV crews didn’t have to go very far to find a significant gathering.

Couple questions about yesterday. Has there ever been a right wing nationwide protest against a Democratic President? Has there ever been a larger BI-PARTISAN protest in the US?

Does all this tariff stuff mean we don’t have to pay our federal taxes now?

Do the republicans in congress realize that trumps plan in his rise to kinghood is to eliminate their jobs too? He’s cut them out of the process, next is to exterminate the rats.

With Francis in decline, can trump just declare himself pope?

The president declares himself king and the people say no. The people say no.

Democracy doesn’t mean whoever wins a slight plurality in the national vote gets to rewrite every American institution to satisfy their own whims. The president is not an elected king. If we let him become one, the project of American democracy is over.

What would South Korea do right now if their president illegally cancelled all federal funds appropriated by its congress?! Arrest, impeach, try and jail.

Some guy named “Luigi” just asked which drug oligarch paid trump to EO the Medicare drug deal.

I feel like this is the last day of a decent nation, at least the last day we pretend to be. I don’t want US to be the villain of the world but we’ve done it to ourselves. It’s still up to the rest of US to keep fighting, but it seems insurmountable this time and I’ve never felt more alone.

Jeff Bezos' Washington Post editorial board has endorsed Pam Bondi as a "qualified" and "serious" pick for Attorney General.

Nowhere in the endorsement did they mention that she's a former Amazon lobbyist.

Billionaire control of our media is a threat to democracy.
