vegetarian food blog! sometimes recipes, sometimes food pics. low-income and budget focused eating that is easy to prep with few ingredients. he/him ♿️
this might be cheaper for you if you shred your own lettuce and you get the cheapest buns, or even if you use sandwich bread instead of burger buns :)

i save a lot of energy by using the air fryer, especially if it's lined with foil for easy clean up.

it's also delicious and cheaper to make this with peanut butter replacing the nutella! i make a similar dish layered with:

toast, peanut butter, banana slices, and then syrup/ honey if i have it. sometimes some frozen blueberries that i thaw in the microwave if i wanna splurge!

around here i usually pay:
$0.25/ banana
$2.00/ peanut butter
$2.99/ 7.7oz nutella
$1.48/ bread loaf

about $7 to try this one.

usually i can get a good 8-10 loaded slices servings out of that, depends how heavy i am on the nutella. its a good dessert. or breakfast if you want, i'm not your mom.

my price estimates are based on california prices and usually come from budget stores like walmart and target.

i hope you try out the recipes i post! they are generally low-spoons in prep and i tend to use paper products to save on energy while cleaning.

make it cheaper ⤵️

frying the tofu with water instead of oil MIGHT work. i am not sure if it will burn. you can omit the avocado as i did in the pictures. you can use leftover teriyaki packets from restaurants. you can also buy tofu and ramen in bulk. you can refrigerate leftover tofu.
