i'm rocky, i am 25, and i am a disabled man living on SSI in the US. i consider myself low-income, but food is the thing i like to "splurge" on the most!

i am generally vegetarian but i might include fish occassionally, or suggest meat as a cheaper alternative to processed vegetarian products.
vegetarian buffalo chicken sandwich!

i used morningstar farms buffalo chik'n patties, target's shredded green leaf lettuce, and an everything bagel flavored bun.

i usually spend under $10 for 4 servings, and i usually have some buns and lettuce left over for burgers and stuff!

btw i know some people will wanna sue me over this but this stretches even further if you omit the beans and then put it on to of pasta. meaty chili flavored pasta sauce. add cheese/nooch and you got a fucking meal right there
i love this chili recipe: mealplanningmommies.com/meaty-vegeta...

i make it without beans due to personal preference, and it makes about 6 servings for me like that. i just dump it all in the skillet and heat it for maybe 10-15 minutes.

usually costs me less than $12 / less than $2 per serving :)

vegan tuna rice 🍚

this pic could be better lol but the tuna rice fucks.

ingredients:
- 1 can vegan "tuno" by loma linda (i use their lemon pepper flavor)
- 1/2 a sliced avocado
- 1 cup cooked rice

it's easy to assemble in a bowl, you can save spoons by buying microwavable rice.

price breakdown ⤵️

highly recommended combo:
any fruit + nutella or chocolate + tajin !!

just had some strawberries but i think it would be good with most fruit you'd eat tajin with :) i put the tajin on top of nutella
