Stephen Miller is one of the most powerful figures in the Trump regime. When he says, "we have to dismantle radical left organizations," he means any organization that stands in the way of fascist tyranny.

This is precisely how the German Nazis used the Reichstag Fire in 1933 to crush freedom.

The whole right-wing ecosystem is a disgusting human centipede that keeps feeding itself on ever-more-toxic bullshit and somehow progressives are to blame. Leave us out of it! It's a closed system!

Wow! Listen to this list of acts of political violence. It’s not even complete, but sobering AF.

Now, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed in front of a crowd, and the video is all over social media. This needs to stop.

Excellent response from Hasan Piker, who was scheduled to debate Charlie Kirk in two weeks. On his stream he said: “The reverberation of people seeking out vengeance in the aftermath of this violent, abhorrent incident is going to be genuinely worrisome.” Also talked about his own vulnerability

people on the right don’t tend to wait for any information about the motivations of the shooter before blaming the left. But Kirk had enemies on the right too; some of them surely live in Utah. And as with any shooting, the shooter’s motivations may not map onto any coherent politics at all.
Elon Musk, helping as always.

We saw the recent cruelty of MAGA denying empathy to Melissa Hortman

Empathy for Kirk—not because he ever acted like a decent human—but because we are decent humans

As an Iranian American, it feels like I need to help explain something:

A friend recently expressed confusion as to why those in the Iranian diaspora (liked myself), who hate the regime, would be opposed to the attacks on Iran.

I’ll try to explain my thoughts/feelings.

Trump’s halting of data collection could have effects that last far beyond his time in office.

Even if a future administration seeks to resurrect some of the curtailed efforts, the 2025-29 hiatus will make trends harder to identify and understand.
Trump’s War on Measurement Means Losing Data on Drug Use, Maternal Mortality, Climate Change and More
By slashing teams that gather critical data, the administration has left the federal government with no way of understanding if policies are working — and created a black hole of information whose…

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

The thread below is about federal datasets that have been taken down. Some websites say they are down for “maintenance” and others are not explained.

We @kff.org had downloaded most of these files on our servers and will be able to see what, if anything, is changed if/when the data come back online
CDC's Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) -- which, since 1990, has tracked high school students' behaviors that can influence health and social outcomes (like smoking, drug use, and dietary habits) -- is now offline
