32 year old Kansas City slacker, gay af, he/they
I have a problem with never knowing what to say and worrying that I'm going to be really parasocial about it. I am a pretty quiet person, I have a hard time expressing myself even in person.

If Hector is there, I'm in. A Dynasty Warriors spin off would also be cool, and a much better fit for Fire Emblem than Zelda.

Yes, and I think the biggest problem is they used the name I, Robot. It was originally a collection of short stories designed around the idea of not doing a robot rebellion.

They knew what they were doing.

I feel like Jessica at least gets D tier. Her heart is in the right place at the very least.

I love hockey, and to this day I'm so mad that we lost the Kansas City Blades.

I see everybody leaping to Castlevania, let me throw a different interpretation into the mix.

(2/2) rose colored lenses because I played Morrowind for the first time last year. It took some adjusting but I ultimately think it is way better than anything that came after.

(1/2) Quite frankly, I'll take the corpo bullshit because I don't trust them to remaster Morrowind. I can't see a world where they trust that players will be able to accept hit chance and spell failure as mechanics and that's oddly part of what made Morrowind fun for me. I'm also not looking through

Todd has spoken on that, and his answer seems respectable but odd. He doesn't want to remaster Morrowind because he wants players to go experience it as it is because it's his favorite Elder Scrolls game.

Even as a kid unaware of gender stuff, there was a point where I realized that he's just getting bullied. I definitely related.

I'll remember them in the morning, and as long as I remain in bed I tend to be able to recall them vividly. However it fades as the day goes on.

I will say it's also neat that humans in GW2 don't fill their typical fantasy niche. Instead of being the adaptable industrious people taking the reins of the world they're the forgotten favorites of their gods stuck in a medieval stasis.

This or if I'm watching multiple episodes in a row and am eager for what happens next. Even then, most of the time I let it play.

This is ultimately my problem with rolling stats. There's no point in coming up with a character concept in advance. There are just some things that don't work if you are cursed by the dice gods.

I always liked the way my dad came up with. It is a one to one point buy, you get 80 points, nothing can be lower than a 7 or higher than an 18 before modifiers.

People lose their minds in D&D over what is statistically only a 10% higher chance at success. People really need to calm down about big numbers.
October 9, 2025 at 4:38 AM
Er... Don't get me wrong, there is still some silly dorkiness in Lancer. How can there not be in a mech game?
October 9, 2025 at 4:36 AM
Yeah that's fair. Largely I have been moving away from D&D as it's a bit of a hodge podge that is trying to be everything as a system. I have found that for silly dorkiness I really prefer Kids on Bikes/Brooms and for a crunchy battle system my friends and I have been playing Lancer.

But there's also a decent gap between not wanting to play a completely non-viable character and min-maxing.
