Approaching (not attacking!) low mental health levels from multiple angles can be extremely effective, especially when underpinned by a hefty amount of gentleness and compassion for oneself. ✌🏽

Getting into nature with my husband helped immensely; fresh air and wildlife are a powerful soothing balm. It also helped to take a break from the onslaught of doomsday news, to finally delete the FB and IG apps on my phone, to make a coffee, and to rearrange my home office furniture.

Later that morning, I told my husband I was struggling. You know what he did? He suggested we go for a drive to a local nature preserve to go look for owls. (I love owls) We didn’t see any owls, but we did see 2 black-footed ferrets, multiple fluffy deer, small groups of bison, and a bald eagle!

Grateful for #nutrition seminars this week from my OTF studio’s head coach, and from OTF’s partner Healthier U. Goal-aligned nutrition can feel so intimidating, but it feels much more manageable now. ✌🏽
