Jill Abramson is spot on that @wgbh.org and @wbur.org should consider a merger. They both compete for the same donors, and both play many of the same shows, like 'Marketplace' and 'Wait, wait...'. Makes sense to pool resources, no?

Rather than cutting both operations to the bone and seeing a decline in the quality of their programs, might it be wiser to merge the two stations?
