The bigger issue is impartiality and accuracy are bound up in the same bit of the BBC constitution. Id argue they are too busy trying to be inpartial that they forget about accuracy. Two very different things.

Nobody who complains about the boats can be appeased, because they don't care about the boats, they care about seeing non-white faces on the streets.
If Labour had morals or political sense, they'd fight that stupid narrative instead of pandering to it.

No vision. No evidence of change. Boxed in by overly cautious manifesto. Drinking immigration koolaid. 2 child benefit limit. Fundamentally, 'labour' as a commodity (i.e. working for a salary) is increasingly not giving ppl a stake in society. Id hope the 'labour' party would address this.

As an ever present Labour voter I can't agree with you on the first point.

He was a truly terrible director general. There were many reasons he could have gone. This is really the most preposterous and absurd.

Agreed. But the Labour GOVERNMENT (as opposed to being in opposition) are refusing to call out or do anything about Brexit, whilst seemingly dancing to Reform's tune. Polanski says things that many on the left would have preferred to come from Labour. He says some nad things too, mind.

On substance maybe. But as a communicator miles better than Corbyn, who comes across as condascending. Shouldnt be underestimated.

Absolutely. As long as Labour, radicalsed X and Facebook merchants (some of whom are journalists) continue to devote 90% of time and energy to a manufactured obsession about 37,000 people whilst millions of children are in poverty. And tech bros threaten democracy itself. But yes...brown faces.

Can one of these ministers explain in what way the UK is a soft touch compared to most European countries who have much more generous benefits? Or why the UK is sixteenth in the list of European asylum claims per head?
Or are they so terrified of the Daily Mail that facts don't matter.

The whole silence/applause thing for any purpose at a game is a mess. Applauses start as soon as the stadium announcer starts the dedication. So 2.5 mins of applause generally. Silence during LP is at least something. People coming into ground late always make silence fraught.
