We use these gravel bag weights to hold down netting and also refrigerator cardboard boxes for weed mulch. Sulyn still waiting for a calm period to complete.🙄

Latest wind gust slamming the house, from Mt Wellington at 8pm = 132kph. This is becoming really tiresome, Since 11am it's been continually gusting over 100kph, except for one hour when it calmed to a mild zephyr of only 87kph. #roaring40s #roaringforties #winds #gales #tasmania #lutruwita

Just read The Gift of Not Belonging: How Outsiders Thrive in a World of Joiners by Dr Rami Kaminski. Seems some of us are "otroverts" i.e. other than introvert or extrovert. Recommended for anyone who might have trouble understanding the spectator sport obsession.

My setup circa 1984. Slow 300 baud modem communicating with the US using the incredibly expensive Telstra ISDN (International Subscriber Dialling Network) system. As I recall it was about $2 a minute.You didn't hang about online.

The spring gales of the Roarin' Forties are among us. Gusts at kunanyi summit have been well over 100kph (peaking at 132 at 8am) for over 6 hours now. So unsettling; my cat is in hiding.

Wrote the story in-flight using a Tandy Model 100 portable laptop; no mean task with 5 lines of 40 characters on its little screen. Still regret sending two of these to the Hobart tip about 20 years ago. Beginning to be quite collectable.
