I don’t know how you’re doing it but this gave me a thought about not needing to generate all octaves of fractal Brownian motion type noise up front as the octaves could be treated like lods… when getting close enough for the next octave up to be noticeable, it can be generated.

Put these all together and we maintained or improved on the rendering quality compared to our previous Electric Dreams demo (last image), except that was 30hz on a RTX 4090 and this was 60hz on a base PS5.
