Then I’ll show you a rare behind the scenes….found the background to suit him, but couldn’t find a screen reflective enough so modified the TV, threw in the angle poise lamp, and blacked out the window. It’s done like this to suit his work and character, a quiet online hunter of ratbags

REALLY BOSS?!! Incredible how hard-wired my #corgi pup is to work stock on the slightest suggestion, & how much self control the pup has despite it. Most people don’t realise they’re a cattle breed, she has the fully installed 🐄 module in that 🧠 .

Cool thing is that Heritage NZ regard my ancestor Charles Suisted as a founding father of Otago, second to Johnny Jones the whaler. www.heritage.org.nz/list-details...

Goodwood is on the coast near Palmerston (south) and I’m named for the man Bobbys Head is named for, Robert Richmond (Charles’ father in law) and where they landed with Johnny Jones the whaler….

And remnants of the orchard and plantings around the main house from 1850s, with massive fruit trees which still produce, and giant macrocarpa trees still towering on this beautiful coastline just south of Shag Point…

It’s unique for its Swedish design elements and the pan iron roofing which was designed for ship’s hold size….

Just had a relaxing visit to the Suisted Stables at Goodwood. Built by my Swedish ancestor Charles Suisted in 1848, first settlers in North Otago. 2nd oldest farm bldg in NZ. Likely started the traditional red iron oxide colour to farm bldgs bc Suisted came from Iron business…🧵

Such a bloody shame. This beautiful hill stood for decades with a power pole placed gently without impact. Now to replace it we have to f*ck the place. Grass won’t take in summer now on clay, will be bare and weedy for years, and the bank will be sloughing eyesore for ages. Progress huh?!
