Incredible Hulk: Monster Road. This ends this chapter of the Hulk, before leading into Infernal Hulk. This series started out fairly interesting but the further it went with The Mother of Horrors story and lore, the less interested I became. A book about Hulk fighting monsters shouldn’t be boring.

Absolute Batman vol 2 by Snyder, Dragotta, Martin and Mann.
Hell yes. I dig how the Absolute DC books, like Marvel’s Ultimate line, give a sense of higher stakes to their stories. The new versions of these characters don’t feel as safe as their “real universe” counterparts.
So much fun.

Kings Cross and Kings Quest.
Dynamite wraps up their Kings Features story and I’m sad to see it end. This series was a lot of fun, and felt like a great introduction to the characters with a new world to explore.
That’s the way it goes with licensed characters.

We’re Talking Everyone Down With Us by Landini & Rosenberg with Wordie and Otsmane-Elhaou.
A 13 year old girl learns a lot about her mad scientist father when secret agents invade their home.
Hell yes. Super cool, funny and exactly what I needed, even if I didn’t know it.

Avengers: Masters of Evil.
Captain America takes on the Masters of Evil and then we get back to the over arching “missing moment” story. Really dig this Avengers book.
I do wish Marvel had collected One World Under Doom by now, because it’s weird dancing around it reading other books.

The Thing: The King of Yancy Street by Fleecs, Mason and Sinclair.
Bashful Benji helps an old friend find a missing kid and fights 75% of the Marvel villains roll call. Hell of a lot of fun.

Avengers Twilight.
Dark Knight Returns for Marvel’s flagship team.
It’s … okay. Art’s cool but we’ve danced to this song before.

The Kings Collection. Mini series featuring Flash Gordon, Jungle Jim, Mandrake the Magician, Prince Valiant and the Phantom. Rad shared universe for the Kings Features characters.

The Vision and Scarlet Witch by Orlando, Tammetta, Camagni and Redmond.
The exes hang out and deal with a necro world of old gods, old villains and old flames. Another dope chapter in the current Wanda series.

New History of the DC Universe by Mark Waid and a host of great artists.
Putting the current DC timeline in order. As an old reader, it’s weird to see the likes of Perpetua and the Dark Crisis alongside the Hands forming the cosmos. Very cool.

The Power Fantasy volumes 1 & 2 by Gillen, Wijingaard, Cowles and Hughes.
Six superpowered beings keep each other in check, because out right confrontation between any of them could mean the end of the world.
Oh hell yeah, I dig everything about this book.

‪Aliens Vs Avengers by Hickman, Ribic and Svorcina. ‬
‪Ive read my fair share of Avengers comics. ‬
‪I’ve only seen the first Alien movie and the Predator crossover flicks, so on the Alien side, I have no clue what’s going on. ‬
‪The art was rad though. ‬

‪Batman and Robin Year One by Waid, Samnee and Lopes. ‬
‪If I were in charge of DC Comics, I’d just cut these cats blank checks and let them run the show. ‬
‪This is everything I want out of a Dynamic Duo flashback story and then some things I wouldn’t have thought to ask for on top. ‬

‪The Midnite Show by Bunn and Hurtt. A long lost monster movie summons the creatures to life. A fun horror mini series with a lot of love shown to the classics that inspired it. ‬

I dug Bats too, and yeah it’s super weird. Still think Abs Wonder Woman is the best so far.

Robin and Batman: Jason Todd by Lemire and Nguyen.
A look back at the formative days of the second Boy Wonder. Always a blast to see the Lemire/Nguyen combo back together.

King’s Watch and Flash Gordon omnibus.
Never seen or read any Flash Gordon before, and only minimal Phantom strips, so this is all new to me, but I really enjoyed it.
