Its the day of the year I get to put a little hat on an RX-droid

I laser cut some my new RX-designs, I think they're looking pretty good but also I think the size and use of a thicker sheet of plywood didn't help them (I included one of my last batch to show how much bigger they are)

Yeah I keep seeing them around. There was also a Skeleton Crew Experience in the Metrocentre this weekend

I embraced my skeleton crew and recorded the opening from a the vastness of space

At a guess I'd say they're wanting to integrate things from the R3X look, rebels look and maybe this bit of concept art from the halcyon

Also the neck wire, BRING BACK THE NECK WIRE DISNEY YOU COWARDS (I do appreciate the extra neck details in skeleton crew though)

Theres also a couple of minor details like the mando designs having head stripes which the originals don't (I think they look pretty good but I don't need them everywhere)

Difference number 3 is the eyes. All the Mando droids have eye covers but some have just straight lines over the eyes, horizontal or vertical and some (like skeleton crew) have more covered eyes with just some slits. The original doesn't have any lines covering them and sticks out a bit more

The next big difference is the mouth piece, the mouth on the mandoverse has the weird almost clover like design while on the original its the horizontal lines (also the gold mouth looks great, I hope it comes back)

I think the biggest difference is that the lower piece of the head sticks out way more more and is at a far sharper angle in the original design. Also the mouth sticks out way more in the original and is way rounder

I've been promising to do a thing about rx-droid head designs and the differences between the star tours design and the Mando design for ages so here have one

The RX-droids appear to have the same head type as the other mandoverse RX-droids, they eyes of the ones from mando season 3 and it appears to be a new neck which is interesting. Also the opening uses the same design as in the show. I'd assume they repainted and added wires to these from Mando S3
