Which color catches your eye more: a vibrant pink tree or a sunny yellow one? I'm feeling a bit uncertain today and would love your input!

**Speak Up, Brother**
*Acrylic on paper (approximately A4 size)*

I’m not much of a portrait painter, but I think I captured his eyes well. I created this a few years ago after my brother underwent surgery for bilateral hematomas. We’ll never know how that happened.

This painting has long since sold, quite a number of years ago in fact. Acrylic on 8x8” bd.

Can you believe its almost February and I haven't even dived into #januarty yet?
Time to change that!
Speaking of new beginnings, l've got this piece that I started last year, and it's been quietly calling out to me from the studio. I think it's finally time to give it the attention it deserves!

Almost done! I prefer working on loose canvas because I like a hard substrate for scratching into the paint. Next move is to stretch it and I'll let it percolate around the studio a while.

Clementine the wee Tassie devil went to a family with two older kids who have energy for her spirited nature and wee Corabelle went to two lovely women our vintage, with heaps of experience with little dogs where she will thrive.

They have both gone to live with wonderful families who will give them their best lives!
I had more than a few tears in my eyes.

Bittersweet is the only way to describe yesterday, our wee foster puppies had their first meet and greets and of course, they were snapped up they are adorable. So we had to say goodbye right there and then.

My wee #fosterpuppies were adopted by two separate families today, wishing them long play filled lives with lots of treats and 💖🥹

A couple of great resource books added to my favorites. One is "Sight Lines," highlighting major women artists from New Zealand, including my former tutor Marilyn Webb—I've shared an unseen watercolor of hers in the second slide. Another favorite is the book on Joan Eardley's landscapes.

After saying goodbye to my beloved Mazzyover two years ago, I finally decided fostering would be a good fit. We contacted the Animal Welfare League and ended up caring for two adorable Chihuahua mixes: Corabelle (the blonde floof) and Clementine (the Tassie Devil)! #fosterdog
