A few years ago I watched Ad Astra (2019) on a plane and thought it was one of the most boring movies ever made. A week later I was struck with a sudden, inexplicable desire to watch it again. So I did. And I cried three times. Now it’s one of my favorite movies.

Amazing how art can work like that.
