Who is saying gender is fully internal and subjective? What is "social coercion"? In what way is this "road" "unhealthy"?

All deeply ironic for a document that states "Basing Federal policy on truth is critical to scientific inquiry, public safety, morale, and trust in government itself."

I see a lot reflected here that was discussed in Judith Butler's recent book "Who's Afraid of Gender". It's not even so much that what they're saying isn't true, it's that they are inventing an imagined Gender Ideologue and debunking their fake arguments.

It's entirely an invention, a fantasy.

"“Gender identity” reflects a fully internal and subjective sense of self, disconnected from biological reality and sex and existing on an infinite continuum, that does not provide a meaningful basis for identification"

OK go to any Queer space and see if that holds up at all.

The whole title of the EO is "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism..." - the entire frame is that women have to be protected from dangerous men coming to seize their rights and somehow break sex discrimination laws.

It's like they're constructing a scenario where chivalry is relevant.

"legal and other socially coercive means" sounds a lot like... passing laws? making arguments? instating policies?

Notice also that transmisogyny uniquely and specifically figures at the center of their claim. The notion of trans men doesn't even come up until Section 2 part F as "and vice versa"

"...ideologues who deny the biological reality of sex have increasingly used legal and other socially coercive means to permit men to self-identify as women and gain access to intimate single-sex spaces and activities designed for women..."

I figured out just last year that the actual lyrics are "I am a world before I am a man" but honestly I'm still going with what 13 year old me heard.
