Yeah. I'm mid thirties and in the last half-decade I both started to socially/medically transition and had two kids. There has been a lot of fear and grieving this past year while also going through my first year of HRT changes. It's a lot. I thought things were getting better.

Hey, millennial queer who listens to NPR here; Buttigieg should be right up my alley based on identity, but I just keep failing to stay excited about him for exactly these reasons.

He's way better than a lot of other options, but I wish he and Biden were the conservative party I voted against.

You may know this already, but some of the settings are hidden further back in the menus: bsky.app/profile/astr...
Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

Relatedly, in my community, being trans or queer just weren't options that were given, so there were large swaths of myself I had to flesh out slowly over decades because I had no possibility models.

Also, I probably should have had neurodiverse diagnoses, but my communities didn't know.

I am also very much like this. My math and other similar skills are great and still serve me well at things like work. I even had a good enough mix of personality to float socially, but since I was smart and helpful there was a lot about being an emotionally healthy person that no one taught me.

I've been debating Amethyst as a possible middle name (partly to preserve initials), but it never occurred to me until this post that it could be shortened to Amy lol

I don't know if this makes it better or worse, but I work for a large school and it's happening to us on our paid Google workspace accounts while working on site, so it's definitely not just you and it is ridiculous. We think longer search strings triggers it more often, but we're not sure.

I think lots of cis women have similar feelings about how much work femininity is; it's not even just a trans thing (but again, special shout out to voice training).

I'm not really into astrological signs, but the little I understand makes me think this is a very Virgo thing to do.
