Couldn't agree more. They had done brilliantly to get themselves back in the game yesterday and just threw away a dominant position when the pitch seemed to be easing- and facing a very inexperienced test attack. Gutting.

Sadly similar experience at a couple of pubs in se London recently - beer quite clearly off, and yet happily continued selling it afterwards. I get the financial pressures, and the challenges of getting through a barrel before it goes - but pretty disappointing!

Loved it- properly tough (and hot), but training paid off and the plan worked- last couple of miles were tough but really enjoyed miles 10 to around 22. Good luck for your run- that looks tough!

There's an excellent In Our Time episode on this. One of those fascinating 'what if' historical scenarios - up there with Antietam in the US civil war, Dunkirk etc.

The folded leaf was excellent- as with the lehmann filling in one of the few remaining gaps I hadn't read before. It was a little slower to get going than some - They came like swallows remains my very favourite of his!
