I agree it's awful to watch, but I appreciate that all of his groveling has been gaudy and performative, rather than conceding substantive changes to Apple's business practices.

How do you interpret this? Just curious

A very strange aspect of BlueSky is clicking ❤️ when you really want to say the opposite.

Would've been even more memorable if she's walked by with Marshall McLuhan...

You mean the picture next to my name? It's the same picture that's next to my name on FB. I like that it's a warmer and fuzzier picture of me.

There's got to be something they haven't sucked the value of of yet!

This is going to be ugly, in every way. It's stupid and sickening. They're determined they win if they can provoke blue cities into fighting with them. They think disorder always bolsters authoritarians even if they created it, and I guess we'll find out.

Roasting in hell level of obscene.

Hmm. Maybe the fact you have 163.1K followers suggests somebody does care about your opinions! [But if you think the post was stupid, that's a different issue...]

I've been wondering too. This seems to be one of the vendors (from google image search) - it looks like these are camera-based and can distinguish the different turn movements and classify between types of vehicles, people and bikes.

The housing changes progressives are excited about came from model legislation on the American Enterprise Institute website. The solutions are to remove public input (because the public are NIMBYs), and reduce government regulation (zoning and environmental rules). Of course the libertarians agree.

Impressive! But it would be fast if all those newly-permitted projects are completed and occupied already. I'm guessing there are other factors affecting the rent decrease. Prices skyrocketed during covid, which spurred new development; now covid effect is slowing. We'll see how this plays out.

Wouldn't all this new supply have been in the pipeline already before the new regs? Couldn't some of these places be the same places that saw spikes in price as tech workers relocated during covid that they're now recovering from? It's hard to conclude new legislation is the reason for this.

It's almost as if they don't *want* transit customers...
