I personally can't wait until we start hearing people propose we start making islands and man-made reefs en masse to reclaim land lost by the sea like they do in UAE:

Can't comment on any of these specifics in this case, but fights over seawalls are common because homeowners insist the land will fall into the water without it. A lot of waterfront property is about to drop in value in the future because the land is literally eroding away regardless
