It was a pleasure to present at the information security forum this year in Kyiv. Ukraine has a unique resilience to cyber threats. Events which would otherwise knock countries out for a week, are fixed in days, while people go about their business.

A cyber attack has taken down the online booking system for Ukraine’s trains.

All over the country people are lining up to buy tickets in person. Staff are working extremely long hours to serve everyone.

This is a very resilient country.

The Russian stock market is outperforming the S&P 500. Someone has their economic policy misaligned.

It’s amazing that Donetsk Oblast is still Ukranian after eleven years of trying by Russia.

Since the beginning of the war the UK has been the indispensable nation. Even with three major changes in Government. It's been a remarkable success. Even my home country Australia hasn't managed this level of consistency.

Zelensky's trip to London was a success. The UK gave a masterclass on how to be a good ally to a friend in need.

Ukraine's President was welcomed with solidarity, they signed an ongoing agreement for further support. It's a model to others. 1/4

Some of the units in Ukraine are doing this hundreds of times a week. Air defence at scale is hard. Doing it affordably is harder.

Ukraine uses the lowest cost interceptor whenever it can. Often the cost to intercept is cheaper than what they are shooting down.

There's still something about this deal that feels extremely exploitative of Ukraine and damaging the reputation of the United States. Allies should not have to bargain for "the right to fight on".

The NASAM air defense system takes has taken down over 900 targets in Ukraine since November 2022, with 94% accuracy.

This is especially impressive when you note that 60% of the targets were cruise missiles.

Russia rejects short term peace timetable, insisting on its full pre-war demands.

Russia only respects strength and we aren't showing it as the United States keep signaling it won't support Ukraine.
