Hello Bluesky! I thought I'd introduce myself to new followers.

On Tuesday 3rd June I'll be moderating a talk about 'Reporting on China'. Come along to hear from a diverse group of four great journalists about the realities of reporting on China.

🥲 so proud of our institution, so proud.

The Principal always makes sure we hit the headlines in such hopeful ways. Good thing he made his office run this entire vanity conference to be the conduit between the minister and Chinese vice-minister, ambassador, and AI investors.

While numerous in-depth stories in China are produced every year, genuine investigative journalism remains rare. This is why GIJN's Editor’s Picks have pivoted from featuring investigative reporting “in China” to “about China."

Also featuring reporting on an elaborate con on a Chinese dissident, an academic credentials scandal, and trekking with Chinese migrants to the US border.
