Fun Fact: in Brazil, Santa's name is a mix of Portuguese and French: "Papai Noel"
"Papai" comes from Portuguese, and it means "Father" (it's the equivalent of when kids say "daddy" in English)

Right now, all I want is my vacation (which I will have next month), but, at the same time, I have to start working on my schedule for 2025

Today I met one of my students. He is French, born in Guadeloupe, and is in Rio de Janeiro right now. He'll be here up to next week, so we had to make this meeting happen!!
Sadly, we didn't take any pictures. But it was amazing to meet someone I only knew online. Always glad to meet my students 😄🇧🇷

Por fora eu geralmente fico quieto, mas por dentro eu sempre me reviro quando vejo alguém que não tem licenciatura trabalhando como "professor/a" (o que é muito comum na área de ensino de idiomas)
As pessoas não têm NOÇÃO de tudo que há por trás de uma aula, desde o planejamento até a avaliação

Quando a gente pode ter esse tipo de aula traduzindo quase nada pra língua do/a aluno/a, significa que ele/a já sabe muito português!! E eu fico todo orgulhoso 🥲❤️🇧🇷
