Hey Disney, YOU ARE TOAST!
Americans who care about free speech should cancel their Disney/Hulu subscription. Freedom is more important than entertainment. BTW, if you're truly "Sorry to see me go," then show some concern for freedom of speech. Grow a backbone & get Jimmy Kimmel back on the air ASAP

If we are concerned with preserving our democracy and civil rights, then we need to adjust how we manage our time and view our roles in society. As busy as we may be, we need to accept a new job, that of Peaceful Defenders of Democracy. This can't wait until tomorrow.

Our descent into authoritarianism is facilitated by the hijacking of the name "Republican Party." Many good Americans who identify as Republicans cannot bear joining the Democrats, but by remaining Republicans they are unwittingly adding themselves to a movement set on destroying American democracy.

If this is close to accurate it shows what a wasteful hateful farce this assault on immigrants is.

AMERICA, WE MUST STAND WITH UKRAINE!
August 18, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Hey, America, STAND UP! We cannot Trump betray all that our country stands for by sacrificing Ukraine to a murderous war criminal. We must not tolerate having our country be the enabler of of the worst atrocity of the 21st century.

If you value living in a democracy, you should be horrified that the Trump regime is sending military troops to police Washington, DC, under the pretext that crime, while down, is "out of control." This is authoritarianism in action. We must protect the United States by defending our democracy

When the bare-fisted fascism of the Trump regime seeks to destroy California, the world must agree on one thing:
Now, we are all Californians.

According to the NY Times, despite falling crime rates, Trump is deploying federal law enforcement in Washington, DC, claiming that crime there was “totally out of control.” Every day, Trump moves us closer to an authoritarian state. Every American should agree that we must defend our democracy.

The Texas effort to eliminate five Democratic districts is not just an attack on Texas democracy. It is an attack on America’s democracy. Texans, your country needs you to stop this abomination!

Why are Federal Troops still in LA over a month after Trump ordered them? It's not immigration. He's using LA to set a precedent for using the army against Americans where he wants, in total disregard for state and local governments. We must not let his police-state tactics to become normalized.

#redstate brothers & sisters. The Trump/GOP bill is designed to rob you of healthcare & food to support tax breaks for the wealthy. Never have we seen such a massive transfer of wealth from poor to rich all while bankrupting our country. Your party is screwing you. WAKE UP! Defend yourselves! Fight!

Trump and his GOP collaborators and Elon Musk began with the world's most defenseless, happy to sacrifice 14 million to offset a tiny portion of their tax break for the wealthy. No worries, their next target is Americans who rely on food stamps and medicaid.

Yes, there is far more than enough if we share, but more importantly, there is more than enough if we care and see others as human like ourselves.

This episode of The Daily, on how #ClimateChange is turning what was called "the Fertile Crescent" into a desert, is so troubling that I had to stop listening to it. After I regained my composure, I finished it. I recommend everyone listen to it.

Why is it that those with so much wealth have such impoverished souls? Maybe they are blinded by greed, but the duty of a just government is to build a more equitable society. Rather than gutting Medicaid, USAID, EPA, etc, Elon Musk & his buddies need to learn how to survive on a mere billion or so

This post makes clear the depth of our political crisis. Nixon resigned because the Republican leadership in Congress supported the Constitution and told Nixon that if he were impeached, they would follow the law and have him removed from office. Today's GOP in Congress is thoroughly corrupt.
saw a "Congress needs to remove Trump from office" and here's the thing: you can go 18 steps down in the succession order and still be hitting completely insane partisan appointees

we have locked ourselves into uncharted territory. we are at a point where there is no purely constitutional remedy
