I saw that article and chuckled because we live in SF (not terribly far from the person quoted) and my wife goes to Costco by bike all the time and never by car.

It seems reasonable to me that if there are two candidates and neither are liked, you don’t need to endorse one. Even if one is way worse. Maybe you ought to make clear you think one is a bad choice, but I don’t think that means you have any obligation to endorse the other.

I share your sentiment. I wonder if the restaurants even know about it or if it’s the default setting on some stupid piece of technology.
