What Is the Effect of Political Influencers on TikTok? Early Results From a Field Experiment With Young Adults

Using survey data & video content analysis authors find that consuming political content on TikTok increased negative emotional affect but had seemingly no effect on political attitudes

My first co-authored paper! Couldn’t have been with 2 better co-authors! Plus we found some super interesting results. (Although I’ll be honest, I’ll still spend half my day on that app). Definitely would be interested in seeing what effects a longer term study would have!

My first ever publication! I couldn’t be more excited! How LGBTQ interest groups operate in Congress, especially as there is a push against Obergefell in the states, couldn’t be more important.
