I'm a Scot/husband/father/uncle/geek. I don't post often, but when I do it's pure gold.
What football-loving Scottish kid hasn’t dreamt of doing this for their country? Absolute stuff dreams.

Somehow, this movie manages to sound like the greatest ever made and the worst ever made, at the same time.

This robin has been keeping us entertained this afternoon. I filled up the feeder and it has claimed it, chasing off coal tits and blue tits and even a magpie. It keeps flying up to the window, hovering briefly, looking in at us, then flying away. The cats are going mental! 🤣

It’s a CD.

This is the frame used to make Spider-Man swing through the streets of Glasgow - sorry, ‘New York’.

Had a good night seeing The Doobie Brothers in concert. Made all the better by getting the ticket for free!

My dad would’ve been 90 years old today. He’s been gone for over 18 yrs now but he’s still missed. Every day of my life my dad told me he loved me. I never had much, growing up, but I always, always knew I was loved. Wish I’d told him more often that I loved him too. Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you.

Since it’s Father’s Day, here’s a pic of my dad. He would’ve been 90 in a few weeks time. He’s been gone 18 years now, but he’s still very much missed and always will be.

Picked up this little beauty today. Ostensibly, it’s a gift for my daughters, but let’s be realistic - I’ll probably read it first, myself.

(I will definitely read it first, myself).

Sad news that the Renfrew Ferry is no more. It was always the most fun way to cross the river.

Wow. Roger Daltrey - 81 and still rocking. Absolutely brilliant show tonight in Glasgow.

Doing a bit of maintenance on an old guitar of mine. Hoping to give it to my daughter, but need to replace a faulty volume potentiator first. That should be fun. Be more fun if I knew what was doing 😂

Yup. I understand completely.

I was actually walking past Babs this morning and grabbed a quick pic of the menu for you.

Accompanied my daughter tonight to see one of her favourite bands - Lawrence. I have to say I was very impressed with their performance. They put on a fun show, filled with energy and some great music. I’d definitely see them again.

The brilliant Cyndi Lauper in Glasgow tonight.

It would appear my back garden has become some sort of sleazy fox hook-up spot.

Another year, another brilliant Gun gig at the Barrowlands. What a year it’s been for them, with a Scottish No.1/UK Top Ten album. And it’s a superb album. They really deserve all the success they’re having. Top, top guys.

“…as they tour the length and breadth of the UK…”.

Every single date is in England.

What a great night seeing Me First & The Gimme Gimmes playing live. What a band! What a show!

When I was about 12 years old, my best friend Dave’s family very kindly took me with them on their annual holiday to Donegal. It was the first time I’d ever been away on holiday.

Dave’s dad drove us from Glasgow to Dungloe, via the ferry, and the only music in the car on that long drive was this.

Now listening: Jennifer Warnes’ superb collection of Leonard Cohen songs - Famous Blue Raincoat.

I hadn’t heard it in years but spotted a second hand cd at the weekend for just £2 so picked it up. I’d forgotten how good it was. Beautiful.

Well, that was a fantastic gig. These guys never fail to deliver. Black Stone Cherry, all the way from Glasgow, Kentucky, to Glasgow, Scotland, they’re Glaswegians with a funny accent and they’re always welcome back.

Heading out tonight to see Black Stone Cherry at the Hydro. They’re such a great live band. This will be the eleventh time I’ve seen them.
