If I could have a single day where a disk or file system issue doesn’t plague my life that would be great. This in particular is a dirty journal for an external drive using ext4 on Linux Mint. Machine is an iMac18,3.

What’s the point of a global env file if each script is just going to hardcode it anyway? On the flip side, a picture of me trying to find a source a dependent env variable that’s not declared in said script. Hint: it’s not the global env file.

It’s a 14-in iBook G4… or was. I’m going to try to clean this but this doesn’t bode well.

Nothing exciting here. If anyone knows how to replace these slots without completely destroying the board let me know. The clips are literally falling off.

I decided that the PowerMac G5 needs some additional TLC. Ordered an 8GB upgrade kit (from 2GB current), a 6800 GT DDL 256MB (5200 FX 64MB currently), and a good re-paste on the heatsinks.

These G5 fans are full blast for this Tiger installation. Was not having much luck with performance in Leopard.
