omg they really did. I was expecting it to be shoddier in a funny way, but I’m kind of horrified at how good the responses are when I say stupid things to AI Jesus. Horrified as in, the people who would use this non-ironically are very likely to get attached to it, and this is happening everywhere.

With manufacturing, taxes, travel for the events, some new hardware, and basic life costs while I’m working in the book, any wiggle room left will just go back into R&D for new projects. What I need is like a distant relative to die and leave me $3000 with a dying wish that I shit in a robot skull.

I’ve seen a steep decline in international customers who rightly do not want to deal with customs/tariff shit, and that sucks bc those are some of my best customers bc people in other countries have more money for things like art bc they don’t have to each fund their own personal social safety nets

They don’t, it’s an independent fully made-in-US outfit, but I will ask them if they have plans to address the customs issues (I’m sure it’s come up quite a bit!)
