100% this - we only learn in three ways:

Play (de-risked, experimental version of doing it for real)
Being told stories (when playing can't be de-risked)
Doing it for real (all the risk)

Dismissing play from learning is about as short-sighted as it gets
Playing smarter: How play builds human intelligence

Learning through play literally builds brains. Policymakers and funding gatekeepers for state education programmes must understand this much better

The UK is long overdue rediscovering the value of serendipity.
A drive to make UK research more focused and targeted needs to be carefully managed to avoid fostering elitism, exacerbating financial issues and leaving the country poorly prepared for unforeseen problems, experts have warned

The three institutional social media responses to TEF announcements:
Gold: "WE GOT TEF GOLD!"
Silver: < dignified silence >
Bronze: "Here is a link to work by one of our academics on why the TEF methodology is inherently flawed"

War of Jenkins Ear 1739 to 1748

This may explain why I'm only a Dad to dogs.
I have a running theory that all dads can have their personality types inferred by their answer to “what is your favorite war?” It’s like astrology, but for dads
