They were. I supported the idea at the time, but it was a mistake. A well-intentioned one, but an error. It ignored the history and cultural significance of clubs and singled out immigrant communities. The theory was it would make the game mainstream In Australia. Instead it
alienated many.

As an EV owner I don’t mind paying my share even after paying a premium for EV, but how will they deal with hybrids if it’s a per km charge? I assume nonsense around giant utes will end. Brave if they make it a per km charge too. Lots of us in outer suburbs who would face significant extra costs
