i think they're low key inspired by the "Crystal Rose" skins in league of legends, which the lore explanation for them is that it's like. a met gala which a crystal white dress code, but in practice their just weddings skins without the wedding naming

(that and due to like anime budgeting, the drawings tend to look a lot less detailed and kind of goofy looking, and seeing them move as opposed to be still images also kind of ruins it for alot of people, like the downgrade is mostly a budgeting issue but still)
