The Switch 2 launch can basically go two ways: either it still sells well despite all the price increases and Nintendo gets away with it, or launch sales fall way short of their expectations so they have to start going into damage control like they did for the 3DS

Even if there are a bunch of Switch 2s waiting in warehouses across the US, buying a $450-$500 console and $80 games is harder to justify when everything else is so expensive, wages are stagnant, and the meager social programs and regulations that existed to help people live are gutted.
Interestingly, Nintendo has already been shipping hundreds of thousands of Switch 2 units to the US since at least the beginning of the year, hoping to reduce the effect of whatever tariffs end up being enforced on Vietnam.
