This sounds like it’ll cost X amount of money which I feel like we could spend here at home. Thought that was the whole point of the admin….

Dems need to be making a big deal about this. Get on the media and bitch like hell

The Trump administration temporarily paused federal grant, loan and other financial assistance programs, effective 5 p.m. ET today.
Trump freezes federal grant payments in surprise move
The pause "does not include assistance provided directly to individuals," the memo states.

That doesn’t seem like bias at all. Only biased if the post is directed or insults the right apparently
Instagram and Facebook have recently blurred, blocked or removed posts from two abortion pill providers. Instagram also suspended the accounts of several abortion pill providers and hid the providers from appearing in search and recommendations. nyti.ms/4h3PF1x

Hey it’s not cool to point out when something no longer works for someone’s argument. You should be more considerate 😝😉
The folks obsessively posting about egg prices for the past few years have gone strangely quiet just as egg prices hit an all-time high.

I mean do I really need to spell it out? And we all know this would never make it but it the principal really
Here we go. Republican Congressman Andy Ogles has drafted a constitutional amendment to allow Donald Trump to be president for a third term.

Doesn’t seem like you’d do something when you say you wanna be a unifier and peace maker….
The White House website no longer has a Spanish-language version. It has removed a disclaimer promising to make it accessible to people with disabilities. And a number of federal agencies have removed web pages related to reproductive rights and diversity.
Government webpages vanish under Trump, from DEI to reproductive rights
Some deletions are standard for any administration, but others seem to indicate Trump’s intent to reshape government.

That’s easy to say but when you run on a platform to be elected to literally lower prices across the board and then put in place tariffs that cause inflation on said items doesn’t seem like a smart idea. I’m no mathematician but those numbers don’t add up they way he’d want them to
Billionaire oligarch Jamie Dimon on Trump's tariffs causing higher prices: If it's a little inflationary but it's good for national security, so be it. I mean, get over it.

Everything in this country is made harder than it needs to be. Whether it’s healthcare, gun reform, data/privacy, drugs, trade, women’s issues, etc. We could work on and solve these issues in record time but instead lawmakers are busy with their portfolios and not getting to the negotiating table

You know what you could do? Determine the needed aid that the victims of these fires need and then after giving them said aid have some conversations with local and state officials about policies. And if there’s something to be fixed then recommend they fix it.
WELKER: Can you commit that California disaster relief won't have strings attached?

MIKE JOHNSON: No, I won't commit to that ... when state and local officials make foolish policy decisions that make the disaster exponentially worse, we need to factor that in.

People possibly wouldn’t be as pissed about this if they explained what national security risks TikTok has. I get it they’ll cite data privacy and that it’s owned by a Bytedance who is based in China. But your reasoning feels either real shaky or Bytedance/China is doing something so awful that

I don’t understand this? The CBP currently collects tariffs to my knowledge. What’s the point of making an External Revenue Service?
President-elect Donald Trump said he would create an “External Revenue Service” tasked with collecting tariffs on foreign imports, the latest indication that the Republican aims to carry out his promises for sweeping trade levies when he retakes office

I’ve never used my social media much to put forth my opinions on the events that happen in the world. I’m relatively new here and think I might doing just that. I can’t claim to be an expert on anything but I feel more than ever that it’s something I’d like to try. We’ll see what happens I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️
