Stunning #Battersea morning. Out early … felt good other than an interesting stomach (likely anxiety induced).

Now on the pilgrimage, possibly for the last time this season, so will breathe in every last drop & cherish every moment.

#UpTheReds

PS - and yes, got to love those mile 3-5 splits! 😉

Special days, with the Reds helping us to create special memories with special people! #UpTheReds

Off on the pilgrimage, always special.

Fun memories of January 25 today! 19 stone of me en route to a League Cup Semi-Final second leg against City at Anfield in 2012, and a lot less of me in Bournemouth for an early FA Cup kick-off in 2012.

Each one is precious.

Early up, early exercise. Tone set for the day! 😊

Ahhh… I like getting creative with my porridge and this was a winner! Banana, peanut butter, generous ground cinnamon, a nice sprinkling of chilli flakes.

Sporting legends from a different era! Dad, Thommo & Gary Cosier in Australia … probably 1977/8 when dad spent a winter playing Sheffield Shield for Queensland during the Packer time.

Nothing as good as the wife’s broccoli & stilton soup while down with the lurgy.

With a bit of hot sauce to blow the cobwebs away!

Awesome find on YouTube … Australia vs West Indies, Third Test 1979/80 at Adelaide.

I knew it was dad’s last Test hundred but what I didn’t know was that he was (at the time) only the fifth West Indian to reach 4,000 Test runs.

In that era, that was a lot of runs!

T’was a tad chilly this morning… a few layers underneath this I can tell you.

Took it nice and easy although not as much ice & slipperiness as I expected.

Sluggish first thing so took it easy.

As a Brucie Bonus, was able to run one of my favourite stretches (Chelsea Embankment) uninterrupted for the first time seven years with super sewer work complete by Chelsea Bridge.

Photo towards bridge with Power Station behind accurately portrays grey sky!!

Come on Reds, into these from the first whistle! #UpTheReds

At 2 degrees… a little milder than yesterday!! 🤣

Warned up quickly though and enjoyed that. Zippy with a little bit of tourist dodging around Whitehall and Parliament Square!

Considering I get cold simply by seeing a fridge, you have to give kudos to Uniqlo & their thermals… I didn’t expect to overheat on my run this morning but did!!! 👌🏾🤣🌡️

Good start to the day, now to get busy!! #ukrunchat

Well… let’s just say there was a breeze and some drizzle this mornint! Exhilaratingly fun way to step into 2025! #ukrunchat

Afternoon well spent!! Through bag 4 of 6 so getting to the point where the wheels could come on or fall of as the case may be!! 🤣

Great collab from Lego & McLaren #Senna 🏁🇧🇷

Got home this evening after a lovely ten days away, living out of various suitcases, over the Christmas period.

Recency bias means 2024 does not hold fond memories (The Reds apart). It was, therefore, timely to see these on the shelf whilst unpacking, reminding me of special moments this year.

Ten nice, zippy, pre-church miles on a very quiet Sunday morn!!

Today we will first worship at the altar of Christ before giving similar reverence to my wife’s roast and, finally, to Arne’s magnificent Reds!

Have a blessed one all #UpTheReds

I’d love to know what Dickie or Steve Bucknor would be doing with the light meter today!! 🤣

Mmm… 5 days left in the year, 76 left to get to 3,000 in the year. Will be tough work (but stranger things have happened!) 🤔

Back to hotel room, iPad charged, come on the foggy top of the table Reds! #UpTheReds

Boxing Day miles are always nice. Headspace and, inevitably, stepping out of sluggishness.

Felt nice out there… lots more up and down here than in London but that’s always welcome!

Nice to have @ian1892r.bsky.social & @theanfieldwrap.bsky.social crew for company! #UpTheReds

A very pleasant way to start Christmas Day - was lovely out there this morning along the Exeter Ship Canal and River Exe.

Have a blessed one all! #christmasrun 🎄🎅🏾🏃🏾‍♂️

‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ (Isaiah 9:6)

Merry Christmas all! Let’s savour the hope and love He brings

A wonderful carol service in @exetercathedral.bsky.social tonight. An opportunity to stop and prepare myself for the days ahead.

When it comes to Christmas, the clue is in the word Christ. Gloria in excelsis Deo 🙏🏾
