Good point. I wonder if part of it is that paintings on the internet can feel a bit arbitrary - it’s aesthetic is affected by clutter from app or browser; its scale, colour and quality depend on the device and screen; there’s no killer app for viewing paintings like Spotify…

Reflecting on this painting again - it’s so intriguing. I feel like I’m standing there on a dry summers day and shielding my eyes from the light and heat, looking for something I thought I saw.
