Have had a bit of golfer's elbow, so I'm breaking up the dead preachers a bit by reintroducing the #barbellCurl, here for only 95x12 and 13 (been 4 months since I touched this, and 8 since I entered this rep range). I think the 15+ rep PR should be achievable next time.

#doubleTapRepEffort #BTNpress for 85x10 and then 9. Coming along pretty nicely. I'm finding it uniquely fruitful to really push through these. I chock it up to the ring HSPU work approximating a pin press equivalent of these, incidentally biased toward lockout (forehead level).

#MaxEffort #deadPreachers here for 100, 110, a failed 120 and then a successful 120 for a brutal PR. Then it was some damned tough backdowns of 95x2x6 for another PR. Thinking I'll have to slow down and crawl my way to 135 but that I'll probably keep my backdowns and rep effort work at 95 a spell.

Basically, I've decided that because of the bottom-up nature of the lift, I'm probably losing applicability of the the backdowns to the singles by keeping tension from the descent between reps, given the singles have no such luxury. Also figured no point in taking this particular lift to failure.
