Join your union.

A good news story for NSW TAFE teachers.

These wage theft cases for Union members take months to resolve, but help to ensure other teachers don’t suffer the same loss of income.

Have you been underpaid too?
TAFE members have won more than $300k of backpay in the past four months thanks to the NSWTF’s work to resolve issues concerning significant underpayments.

Changes to capital gains tax and negative gearing are not the only things needed to solve Australia’s housing crisis, but they’re the cornerstones of any approach capable of arresting the raging home price growth that is making a bad problem rapidly worse.

I’m confused: did a memo go out this week saying it’s finally okay for politicians and the press to be outraged that Israel is starving Palestinians?

If so, I didn’t see the memo. But I did see the evidence of this war crime back in late 2023.

Where are we at? Starving is bad, bombing is ok?

The curious case of the disappearing smoking data. The Roy Morgan release was unequivocal: smoking rates among young adults are up after vaping ban which had "demonstrably failed". And then it disappeared and was replaced with something more amenable. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/health/...
Exclusive: Smoking data taken down after link to vape ban
A report showing increased smoking and vaping among young Australians was pulled after it embarrassed the government and led to complaints from other researchers.

🧵 What Zohran says.
Trump and Republicans in Congress are trying to pull off one of the biggest heists in U.S. history.

The so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” is robbery, plain and simple.

And it’s being committed by the billionaire class and the politicians they put into office.
