Waiting for extinction.
It's a product of voter ignorance and apathy. When name recognition is that powerful, it's bad news for voter engagement.

Commerce's business isn't business. It's data. A meterologist, climatologist, data scientist, or experienced science administrator would be in the correct lane.

That's OK. That's how I regard the right. Reaction is a scam. It makes promises it knows it will never have to deliver, because its prescriptions are impossible.

This is not only absolutely true, but it's reasonable to ask why they used such a contrived plot device without earning it in a script that was otherwise pretty smart. They asked for the criticism.

A standard frigate and modern diesel sub for the whole bloc would go a long way, reducing unit costs and build times, perhaps a modular approach for different navies, missions. Also a good chance to start from bare metal without any US tech.

These people have been scheming to get here for generations, and when they finally have power, the main thing they've accomplished is to get the deeply ignorant public to pay attention. That's never been great news for them, historically.

How many "I told you so" coffee mugs do you think that woman has gotten as gifts this year? I remember thinking, during the debate, that in the old days, he'd be done. We've let billionaires buy the media and agitprop us into this mess. Big Tech business model is radicalization. Needs to change.

Roberts is saying that the court's own precedent from a couple of years ago, where it ruled that Alabama had to draw racial fair maps, doesn't apply to this (identical) case, essentially because the Alabama case was poorly argued.
It's a terrible argument, but the hill Roberts is gonna die on.

1) ... back in 1991, while in college and on the libertarian right, I was volunteering and hanging out at local GOP HQ, talking with this retired classics professor. One afternoon, he said that "segregation was for the benefit of black people."

The GOP is a safe space for bigots.

I mean it helped - they were murdering and torturing Kenyans for close to a decade and Malaysians for over a decade after that.

It also helped that there was an active violent resistance to go along with the nonviolent resistance. So the British chose to work with the peaceful guy

I get what you're saying, but I think UK left India in 1947 because they were broke after World War II, not because of any moral clarity created by protests.

After all, they were murdering Arabs from the air only a decade earlier to try to hold on to colonies and mandates.

Using the number of employees to describe a business as small is often used to mislead. A 'small' hedge fund can handle tens of billions of dollars in investment capital. Only staff AND sales can make a good measure, plus yes we need more BIPOC wealth, the sooner the better.
