Similar efforts, although with individuals much less vulnerable than patients in mental health crisis, are known to happen here in this province during campaign season.

It doesn't help that our Election legislation was written before the internet was a thing so lots of loopholes to play with.

Well, I tried last March & this is how it ended. We brought a handful of ppl from tent city to sit in the gallery so the Minister of Housing would be forced to look at them as he blatantly misrepresented the services they were being offered. He didn't care & it was incredibly disappointing.

As my therapist says, sometimes you just have to let yourself feel the fucking pain. Gabor says processing and releasing it will ease your physical pain & that’s certainly been the case with me

Dan Siegel has a tool called Wheel of Awareness (explained in his book Aware). It’s a meditation practice that encourages you to explore emotions from ‘above’ in an unattached state. I hope that makes sense. I learned about Siegel before Mate but heard Mate refer to the wheel in a podcast recently
