Just saw salmon spawning in this little restored creek behind BCIT - between the Brentwood and Metrotown skylines…

Any ideas what's going on here? (2 of 2)

Also seen at the park - is this wild kingdom stuff or very depressing stuff? Is this the seals playing over their catch... or is that their baby who died and they don't know what to do with it? (1 of 2)

Remembrance Day at Stanley Park here in Vancouver (there’s a military base in the park - if you’ve never been).

With the time change this is my first time at work for the crow commute. I work at BCIT, and this is where all the crows end up. Never seen it before. It is proper scary tbth. This density of crows covers the entire campus. Some making weird sounds besides the caws. V. cool.
