1872 triangle shelf! I have these little cylinder feet that take up like 640 triangles on their own 😩but I'm having a lot of fun slowly cluttering this scene! I created some variants of this shelf too since it's all floating objects, will share them later 😼

Made a chair today! I've got a warm light blasting in unreal so it's a lot warmer in engine, also seeing some spots that need attention on the chair (some areas catch the light weirdly). Progress feels slow but this coming week I'm gonna full send it 😤

Spent some time earlier today making a wooden plank floor for my scene! I worked slightly differently when sculpting the forms but I'm glad it didn't mess up the tile of the wood. In-engine scene is quite warm but I'm digging how chunky and worn the planks came out.

I recently discovered that #portfolioday was designed for finding creative work. While I’m not seeking commission right now, who knows what the future holds.
Hard for me to believe I’ve made 4 full 3d character concepts in two months, it’s not much for some, but it’s a lot for me.

I was so short for time that I rushed parts of this project back when I was studying but it's a bit wild to see how little information is lost after dropping the triangle count down by a quarter. This one took longer to re-do, lots of weird bakes but it's coming out well I think!

New mini updates~ I was able to find my old textures for the utensils and plates, I love smart materials. Also feel like there's still a bunch of room for optimizing the uv space and meshes but it's super rewarding seeing the bakes come out looking not scuffed!

Made a cast iron pan for my portfolio piece rework. Sitting at 700 tris right now with some quickly slapped on textures. Hoping to chuck a bunch of props onto a texture sheet and focus on optimizing, might see if I can drop the tris down more since it isn't a complicated object.

Trying out a different shape for the cleaver but material rendering is kicking me. I think the new cleaver has a more interesting shape but I also tried editing the old cleaver to be less rigid.
