I'm an enthusiastic dabbler in many hobbies and curious about everything. I love my husband, my dog, reading, photography, and napping.
And the jobs you do find will pay less and likely have no benefits. And, even if you have insurance, unless you live in a large city, good luck with having a hospital within an hour's drive. I'm lucky, my rural county in TN still has a hospital but it's a 40 minute drive.

Exactly!! That was my first thought, too. Today, the first class seats on domestic flights aren't nearly as nice as regular seats were back then. Coach is ridiculously cramped. Today, airlines treat their customers like cattle, so I'm damn sure going to dress as comfortably as possible.

This cat passed away many years ago, but if she were around today, I’d definitely have a fountain for her. I think she’d have liked that very much.

She was a very smart cat. Luckily, she would just turn it on to barely more than a trickle of water and the sink had a good drain so there was never any overflow. My dad had a very clever horse who would turn on the water supply to his trough because he liked fresh water and that would make a mess.

I had a Siamese cat who liked fresh water to the point where she would turn on my bathroom sink in the middle of the night to drink straight from the tap. She was never motivated to turn off the water so the sound of running water would wake me up in the wee hours of the morning.

I live in an extremely conservative/maga area in Tennessee and you are so right. They’re especially happy to suffer if those suffering more than them are non-white. The book Dying of Whiteness by Jonathan M. Metzl talks about this very real phenomenon.

It would be awesome if he faced consequences. If he went to prison for perjury, maybe it would send a message to others in ICE command that they aren’t above the law. Because right now, it looks like they are, indeed, above the law.

For real. We have Marsha who has decades of being absolutely abhorrent. Or, we have Rose who started grooming his wife when she was 15 and he was in his mid 30s. And Rose is also full-on maga same as Marsha. Quite the choice. I’ll cast my futile vote for the Democrat who runs against them.
