We were told turning a prince into a Mr would take an act of Parliament.
It didn't.
It took a pen.
Why not use another pen to delete all the other archaic titles - king, queen prince, duke, duchess, baronet etc, etc and we could all become citizens, not subjects.

Unfortunately, the Tony Warren interview won't load from YouTube but it's worth a watch.

First they told us CCTV cameras would reduce crime.

Then they cut Police numbers & said it wouldn't affect crime.

Apart from China, we must be one of the most surveilled populations on earth.

Miller also built the Phantom for the Confederates, later used to run arms & supplies between Bermuda & Wilmington NC.
On 5th August 1863, the Phantom secretly transported Confederate spy ‘Rebel Rose’ O’Neal Greenhow out of Wilmington.
She was carrying dispatches for James D Bulloch in Liverpool.

One such blockade runner was the Laird-built steamer Denbigh which ran a regular packet service between Liverpool and Rhyl. Subsequently purchased by the European Trading Company following sea trials in the Mersey in August 1863.
Denbigh ran aground off Galveston on the 24th May 1865.

Fascinating image showing the mast of a ship in the partially filled-in Georges Dock.

Curious to know if the two-funnelled paddle steamer is a former blockade runner.
I guess we'll never know.

Your riveting 'Coining It' #podcast should also receive a mention in dispatches.
I'm rationing episodes to make it last longer.
Hope it's turned into a movie.

Fine actor who enjoyed flights of fancy when interviewed by journalists.

Will this see the demise of fawning journalistic 'puff pieces' when interviewing the Windsors and the end of their editorial control?

Might be simpler if journalists just compared Farage's grifting Brexit campaign rhetoric with the post-Brexit reality.

Such a pity many broadcast journalists don't call out this grifter everytime he fails to answer a question & responds with the classic Trump oke doke distraction technique response.
