I also read the most recent Russ Thomas, Sleeping Dogs, and I’m a little sad to have completely caught up on the series. They’re fairly standard, very solid crime books with a gay lead, and they are really nice to curl up with at the end of the day. Hoping we’ve got a fifth book on the way.

I am running a mere SEVEN books behind on my reading goal for the year (and that’s after finishing three inside of a week 😅), so I will have to keep up this pace - and then some! - if I want to be back on pace by the time summer break ends. We’ll see if that happens.

Currently working my way through @sentencebender.bsky.social’s excellent The Blade Between, David Rhodes’ intimate Jewelweed, and the 3rd book in James S.A. Corey’s Expanse series. Just started Sarah J. Maas’s hugely popular A Court of Thorns and Roses, or ACOTAR as it seems to be fondly known.
