I’ve seen a few. This is the most recent one, from Ross Eric Gibson’s SC Sentinel article a few years ago. It doesn’t include anything beyond Santa Cruz though.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing! I had always suspected that it was more of a Nor Cal (wharf) v So Cal (pier) difference.
